Snowexchange 2009

snowexchange2009Before going to the Snowexchange, I enjoyed a few days in Switzerlands secret capital Zurich. Together with Fabs from SDU I took the train to Waltensburg/Vuorz, which is a small town in the real mountains of Gaubunden, in the south of Switzerland. Also the westfrisians took the same train. However we first realized that after arriving in Vuorz. Before taking the bus to our camp, it was time for a small chat and some drinks in the local bar. After arriving, everyone went for a small nightwalk, where we where tought some old stories about the castel of Vuorz and where we could have some hot wine. The next days everyone was busy at the pist, some did snowboard, some did ski and a few tried both things. After dinner we always had a small gathering, where we heard about a trekking tour in Nepal, where we did a small Giuru quiz or where we could enjoy an unplugged life jazz-pop-blues concert, held by one of the organization team. Also we had a small version of the famous exchangemarket, which is a part of almost every YEN-exchange. After a few days at the pist, we had a day, where we went out for a walk, which took longer than expected. Obviously some people thought beer might help them in walking faster. All in all the snowexchange covered a very sporty week, with some cultural inputs. The Giuru has always been very helpful and hopefully the Rökefloose will revieve an invitation for the next snowexchange also.
